Within January-October, 2015 timber production in Russia decreased to 0.6% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Plywood production increased to 2.5%, veneer production decreased to 60.5%

Within January-October, 2015 timber production in Ukraine increased to 4.6% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Plywood production increased to 1.1%, wood panel production – to 2.9%, veneer production decreased to 2.5%

Within January-October, 2015 wood panel products volume in Belarus decreased to 22.2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Wooden furniture production decreased to 5.1%

 

Wood products export in Bosnia and Herzegovina showed significant increase in 2014. Wood industry as rather prospective branch requires additional stimulation. It is important for producers of such wooden products as plywood, hardboard, chipboard, parquet control the quality of their products

In 2015 timber production in Finland decreased to 3-4% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. It was caused mainly by a slow pace in building and construction sector and euro rate to Russian ruble and Swedish krona. It is expected that because of over abundant supply of timber products

Within January-September, 2015 timber production in Ukraine increased to 5% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Plywood production increased to 0.3%, hardboard production decreased to 0.5%. Veneer showed 3.3% decrease

Experts of Business & Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association forecast office furniture production increase (approximately 4%) in 2015 in the USA in comparison with 2014. The same tendency will last in 2016.

Within January-August, 2015 timber production in Ukraine increased to 4.3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Birch/alder plywood production increased to 0.1%, hardboard production decreased to 0.7%. Wooden window and  door volumes decreased to 11.5%

Within January-March, 2015 hardboard export volume from Belarus showed double increase in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Furniture block boards export increased to 60%, cardboard – to 33%.

Within January-July, 2015 plywood export in Russia increased to 8.7% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. In value terms plywood export amounted to 606 million US Dollars (15.9% less than in previous year).
