Within January-October, 2016 timber production in Ukraine increased to 11.8% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Plywood production decreased to 6.7%, wood panel production increased by 0.2%, veneer production increased to 27.7%.
Within January-August, 2016 “Bellesbumprom” (Belarus) increased sales of chipboard and hardboard on domestic market. Hardboard selling showed 23% increase in comparison with the same period of the previous year, chipboard – 7.2%, plywood – 22%
Within January-September, 2016 “Bellesbumprom” (Belarus) increased export of wooden products from Belarus to Turkey by 32%. The most significant growth rate showed hardboards and paper.
After entering The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) Canada will be able to export all products of timber processing complex without duties and quota. At the present in EU import duties for timber products produced in Canada vary from 2% to 10%. Import duty for plywood, for example, is 7-10%, for hardboard and OSB– 7%
Within January-September, 2016 saw timber production in Russia increased by 4.5% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Plywood production increased to 4.4%
International Fair WOODTECH EXPO India will be held within 22-24.08.2017 in Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India.
Sales markets and innovations in wood boards and plywood packing will be presented at the conference in Moscow on the 26-th of October. This year the main topics will be moved from production technology to economics, sales and packing.

Saw timber production in Ukraine during first eight months of 2016 has been increased by 12.1% to 1.123 million m3. For the same period plywood production has been reduced by 7.7% to 114000 m3, wood boards production has been reduced by 3.1% to 842000 m3.
