On September, 13-17, 2017 International trade fair for furniture, equipment and accessories BIFE-SIM will take place in Bucharest, Romania.

Within January-May, 2017 Malaysia increased wooden products export by 6.8%. By the end of 2017 annual growth 5% is expected. Plywood export volume within January-May estimated at 450 million USD

Within January-July, 2017 plywood production in Russia increased by 0.1% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chipboard production increased by 13.9%, hardboard – by 14%

Within January-June, 2017 timber production in Ukraine increased by 3.3%, plywood production increased by 6.2%, veneer – by 12.5%, wooden panels – by 5% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Flooring production decreased by 3.6%, wooden doors – by 0.3%

International Fair WOODTECH EXPO will be held within 22-24.08.2017 in Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India. It is the largest trade show of woodworking machinery, furniture, tools, timber products, panels and plywood, raw materials, flooring, veneer, particle boards, doors and windows, etc.

Within May, 2017 Vyatka plywood plant passed audit control for FSC new standard certification (version V 3-1: standard requirements for FSC controlled wood purchasing). Around 96% of the total plywood volume is produced from FSC-certified wood

Within January-May, 2017 timber production increased by 1.6%, plywood production increased by 6%, veneer – by 10.7% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Within January-April, 2017 Russian plywood export decreased by 3.9% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.  Export to far-abroad countries showed 4,5% decrease, to near-abroad – 2,8% increase

Within April, 2017 wooden products export in Brazil increased by 16%. Timber products export increased by 25%. Pine plywood export showed 13% increase, tropical plywood – 10.3%

In 2017 year Indonesia continues to increase plywood export. The reasons are the decline of administrative barriers and the better quality in comparison with Chinese plywood. Chinese plywood producers are able to provide low prices because of the cheap man power and raw material
