Within January-November, 2017 birch plywood production in Russia decreased to 2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Hardboard production on the contrary showed 8% increase

 

Within January-November, 2017 timber production in Ukraine increased by 4%. Plywood production increased by 2%, veneer – by 8.2%, wooden panels – by 3.3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Within January-October, 2017 timber production in Ukraine increased by 3.5%. Plywood production increased by 3.6%, veneer – by 8.2%, wooden panels – by 2.8% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Vyatka plywood mill (Russia, Kirov) passed  EPA certification and got TSCA report (The Toxic Substances Control Act). According to the part VI of TSCA the level of formaldehyde emission for plywood should not be more than 0.05 ppm.

Within January-September, 2017 concern “Bellesbumprom” (Belarus) increased woodworking products export to Kazakhstan to 42.3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

Within January-August, 2017 timber production in Ukraine increased by 2.5%, plywood production increased by 5.7%, veneer – by 9.8%, wooden panels – by 4.6% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

UPM plywood mill started to use the new gluing technology in plywood production. WISA BioBond uses lignin while plies gluing process which substitutes around 50% of phenol

In July 2017 orders for the new wooden furniture in the USA increased by 11% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The most widespread components for furniture production are OSB, chipboards, plywood, hardboards

 

Within January-July, 2017 plywood production in Russia decreased by 0.5% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.  Export to far-abroad countries showed -1% decrease, to near-abroad + 3,6% increase
