In 2021 woodworking products export volume in Finland increased by 16% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The main share in export belonged to carton -25%, plywood share was 15%

In March 2022 wooden panel prices in Russia increased by 1.5% in comparison with February 2022. Chipboard prices decreased by 6%, plywood – increased by 2%, hardboard - by 25%

FSC International organization terminated all trade certificates issued in Russia and Belarus. From 08.04.2022 it will not be possible to buy and sell plywood marked as FSC originated from Russia and Belarus

In the USA import duty for Russian birch plywood can increase by 50%. It will cause problems for plywood importers but gives opportunities for American manufactures. In 2021 the share of Russian birch plywood in the USA import volume was around 35%

In January 2022 Russian plywood production volume decreased by 3% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chipboard production increased by 6%, hardboard - by 7%

In November 2021 plywood import volume in Japan increased by 45% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The main share in plywood import belonged to Indonesia and Malaysia
